Table of Contents
Birmingham is a fantastic city to be a student in, set in the heart of England’s historic midlands. It has a thriving city centre and nightlife, and its universities are superb. Here are some of our accommodation recommendations for anyone looking to study here. You needn’t worry about the basics like Wi-Fi or modern security features — they are provided in every option listed.
Metchley Hall
An easy twenty minutes to both the University of Birmingham and Birmingham City University, the shared apartments and studio rooms here are both modern and inviting. With great communal areas — fully-stocked with pool tables and foosball — you are bound to meet some new people and have a great time. It offers a shared kitchen and all necessary amenities, such as a laundry room, and comes with bike storage so you’ll be well looked after. Book your room from £175 per week.
Penworks House
Penworks House is perfectly placed ten minutes away from the city centre, and if you are planning to study at Aston University, you’ll be a mere nine minutes away. Even the University of Birmingham is only about half an hour away on public transport. The accommodation here is beautifully furnished, with great shared kitchens for the ensuite rooms, and personal cooking areas for the studios. There is also a great study room and common room to make use of. Rooms start at just £176 a week.
The Metalworks
Sitting about ten minutes away from the University of Birmingham, the Metalworks boasts modern styling and high-tech kitchens. Just a stone’s throw away from the city centre, you certainly won’t be bored. Even when relaxing at home, there is a great garden and a chill-out space with a TV and pool table to keep you entertained! The ensuite rooms, studios, and apartments here are priced from £180 a week.
Host Student Apartments
The ensuite and studio rooms here are newly refurbished as of September 2017. You’ll be perfectly situated close to the University of Birmingham and just a bus ride away from the city’s vibrant centre. The kitchens and bathrooms are all renovated, and as such you’ll benefit from fresh amenities. There is also a beautiful new garden and courtyard area where you can hang out with friends. Book your room here from £204 per week.
