This offer includes scholarships worth NZ$200,000 exclusively for Indian students. A total of 20 scholarships will be offered worth NZ$10,000 each to Indian students in New Zealand.
About the Scholarship
Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao and Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (NZIST) has announced an exciting scholarship scheme for Indian students: the New Zealand Science and Technology Scholarship. Under this scholarship, a total of 20 students will be offered scholarships worth NZ$10,000 each.
The New Zealand High Commission in New Delhi recently unveiled the New Zealand Science and Technology Scholarship. This scholarship aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) and offers Indian students entering their first year of a full-time program in New Zealand for 2025 in the fields of sciences and technology. The financial aid will include a reduction in the first-year tuition fees.
Courses Eligible
The New Zealand Science and Technology Scholarships are only available for science and technology courses. These include Agri-Technology, Aquaculture, Applied Health Sciences, Architecture, Biotechnology, Engineering, Computing Systems, Digital Technology, Food Technology, Marine Conservation, Information Technology (IT), Quantity Surveying, Nursing, Veterinary Nursing, and Viticulture.
Who Is Eligible?
Students must fulfill the following conditions to become eligible for the NZIST Scholarships. These include:
- At least 18 years old while filling out the application.
- Must hold current citizenship of India.
- Must be living in India when applying.
- Must be eligible to receive an acceptance into a full-time science and technology course and remain enrolled throughout the 2025-26 academic cycle.
- Must have received an unconditional offer from a participating NZIST Business Division from the selected course in 2025.
- Must fulfill all the New Zealand immigration requirements for a student visa.
How to Apply for the Scholarship?
NZIST Scholarship does not have any separate application process. 20 Eligible students will be rewarded scholarships who submit their application for studying at any chosen university/ college on or before 25th Oct 2024.
