The area was built during the ‘80s and was named after the neo-classical architecture dotted all over the district: neo-classical buildings and statues are the main attractions here and around the city, such as the Promenade du Peyrou and the Aqueduct of Arceaux. The district is sprinkled with the copies of the most famous Greek statues like the Victory of Samothrace that you will find in the Esplanade of Europe. You cannot miss as well the Olympic Swimming Pool and the Emile Zola Mediathèque.
